We, at the Islamic Foundation of South Florida, stand together, united as one, in our strong condemnation of all acts of terrorism.

The senseless violent acts of a few misguided individuals are not only a tragedy for the families of their innocent victims; they are a tragedy for Islam too. An attack on innocent people is an attack on all of us. Such violence is an affront to Islam and to all rightly-guided Muslims. These desperate acts of violence do nothing to further the cause of Islam and have, if anything, fueled the fire of Islamophobia. Such acts of violence are designed solely to further the misguided causes of extremists, who have hijacked, and misrepresent true Islam. The Holy Qur’an and authentically recorded Hadiths make clear the true path:

Whosoever kills an innocent human being, it shall be as if he has killed all mankind,
And whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. (5.32)

Indeed, whoever (intentionally) kills himself, then certainly he will be punished in the Fire of Hell, wherein he shall dwell forever. (Muslim 109 and 110)

We, at the Islamic Foundation of South Florida ask that Americans of all faiths join us in our condemnation of all acts terrorism, and in our prayers for peace.
