AL-FALAH - Charitable division of IFSF
Mission: To gather Zakaat, Sadaqa and Fitra from the muslim community and distribute to the local needy people according to the guidelines of Sharia. To promote general charitable works for all of those in need regardless of religous or ethnic background.
History: The committee was formed 16 years ago as a subsidiary of SISB. Activities in the past have included garage sales and food drives. Donors can drop off their donation in boxes marked for Zakaat, Sadaqa and Fitra or contact any of the committee members.
AL-FALAH Food Bank
Al-Falah has a Food Pantry, located in the Salah Tawfik Elementary and Middle School facility. Non-perishable food items are being collected and distributed to needy families in the community. A drop-off box for these items is located in the masjid for those who wish to contribute. Specific list of desired food items is as follows:
