The STEMS Elementary and Middle School (STEMS) will provide and promote the highest level of education in a nurturing Islamic environment; raising future generations of students with a strong moral character and excellence in both Islamic and academic education.

May Allah give us strength to carry out this mission, and may He help us to achieve the best of this life and the life to come. Ameen!

STEMS is dedicated to the achievement of the following goals:

  • Teaching and inculcating Islamic faith, values and traditions
  • Maintaining an Islamic environment to achieve the above
  • Providing a high standard of education
  • Teaching our students to excel in their lives and activities
  • Incorporating Arabic language as a part of student lives
  • Inculcating self-discipline in the students
  • Encouraging students to become ambassadors of Deen-ul-Islam
  • Developing community and leadership qualities
  • Building strong moral character, based on the principles of integrity, honesty and sincerity, respect for others, property and other resources, coupled with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Providing an after-care program for STEMS as well as public and other private school students in the community


     

    STEMS Objectives

    The goals will be achieved by the implementation of the following objectives:

  • Providing a safe and stimulating learning environment;
  • Employing qualified, dedicated, and committed faculty and staff;
  • Measuring and evaluating students’ performance through regular classroom tests; special assignments and projects, and standardized and norm referenced tests as applied by the State and nationally recognized testing institutions;
  • Implementing the Sunshine State Standards and relevant Islamic curricula;
  • Providing weekly feedback to parents related to  students’ performance;
  • Promoting student clubs, including debating, Qur’an, speech, and literature;
  • Utilizing the support services made available by the Florida State Department of Education, parents, and community; and
  • Encouraging relationships with other Islamic Schools and promoting healthy competition – athletics and games, spelling bees, Qur’an, debate, and literature.
