Ayesha Nikhat Khan - STEMS Early Childhood Dept. Head, Pre-K4 Teacher
Assalamalaykum,

My name is Ayesha Nikhat Khan and I would like to welcome you all to our Pre-K department. I was born and raised in India. Soon after I went to Osmania University where I received my Bachelor’s of Arts Degree. After completing my degree I got married and, along with my husband, Mateen, I came to the United States and settled in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

With the blessings of Allah, I am now the mother of four beautiful children: Nida, Amaan, Noor, and Ahmed. Two of my children currently attend Salah Tawfik Elementary and Middle school, while the other two have recently graduated from there.

I have my Director’s Credentials in Pre-K, my Child Development Associate (CDA), and my forty hours of child care courses. I have also attended several training classes and seminars along the way. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. In addition to this, I have completed a Special Needs Education course. I have also worked as a volunteer for the Weekend school for the past 15 years. My first job in Florida, however, was a teacher at Nur-ul-Islam Academy, where I worked for three years. After that I came to Salah Tawfik, where I worked as a lead teacher. Being around kids has always been my passion.

Currently, I am the Director of the Pre-K Department. I am glad to bring my experiences and enthusiasm to the Pre-school Department. My goal, Inshallah, with the help of Allah(s), is to build a trusting relationship with your child to help him/her explore the world around them through their own perspectives.
