My name is Mr. Steve Burgess and I am married to my beautiful wife named Aziza from Boston. I was born and raised in London, England.

 

After I migrated to Broward County in South Florida, I have earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Education from Broward College in 1996 and a Bachelor of Arts in Education Degree from Florida Atlantic University in 1999.

 

I am currently certified in Elementary Education for Grades K-6 in Florida with E.S.O.L Endorsement. In addition, I am an accomplished educator with 9 years of professional full-time teaching experience, 5 years of substitute teaching experience, 10 years of group leading experience in the Y.M.C.A's After School Program, and 24 years of private tutoring and mentoring experience to students of all ages in my neighborhood in Broward County.

 

In the future, I would like to pursue a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment so that I can become a Curriculum Specialist. I look forward to working with you all at Salah Tawfik Elementary and Middle School for a very long time Insha Allah! Shukran!
